Mountains of the Lamb is a 501c3 nonprofit ministry located in Jacksonville Florida and have a powerful calling to walk alongside those serving in juvenile and correctional facilities and in our local community. We are deeply rooted in the unconditional love of our Heavenly Father, and we offer a sense of community and support that is so vital for anyone facing challenges in their life where no Mountain is too big for the Lamb of God and with Jesus all things are possible. 

Our hope is to help change lives through our ministry and mentorship programs to renew hearts, restore relationships, and focusing on holistic transformation (heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit). Our ministry provides a much-needed reminder that we are all loved by our Father, and with Him, we can overcome any mountain. I, Nick Akley was born and raised in Brooklyn NY before moving to Jacksonville FL in 1999 to pursue my culinary degree, but today I am seeking a bachelors degree in Christian Leadership. My journey through life has been marked by significant challenges and profound transformation. Growing up, I faced a multitude of adversities that could easily have defined my existence. From childhood abuse, and the trauma of a broken home to the chaotic embrace of street violence. I encountered various forms of abuse- mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, sexual and psychological. Each of the experience contributed to a complex narrative that at times felt insurmountable.

For many years, I found my self trapped in a cycle of despair, grappling with scars of my past. However, amidst the darkness, I encountered an unfathomable light-my faith in God. My spiritual awakening was not merely a moment; it was a life- altering event that ushered me into a new realm of hope, healing, and purpose. I discovered that I was not defined by my past, but rather, I could use my life experiences as a powerful testimony of resilience and redemption. Today, I am dedicated to sharing my story with those who find themselves in similar dark places. I believe that my experiences and testimony can resonate with others who are struggling, offering them a glimmer of hope and the possibility of transformation. My mission is to bring God's light to those in need of Jesus, reminding them that healing and redemption are attainable regardless of their circumstances.

I've had the privilege of serving with various organizations and ministries that focus on reaching individuals who are marginalized or facing immense struggles. Through speaking engagements, mentoring, disciplining and one-on-one sessions, I strive to provide  support and encouragement to those who feel lost or broken. My experiences have equipped me with a unique perspective, allowing me to connect with others on a deep level and foster an environment of trust and openness. In my professional endeavors, I focus on creating spaces where individuals can openly share and find solace in shared experiences. I aim to empower others to reclaim their narratives and embark on their journey of healing. I firmly believe that everyone has the capacity for change and that our past does not have to dictate our future.

As I continue to navigate this fulfilling path and calling to ministry, I am inspired by the countless stories of triumph and resilience around me. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a beacon of hope for those who are still searching for their way out of darkness. If our story and testimony of what the Lord has done for us can illuminate even a small fraction of someone else's path, then anything is possible. Through my unwavering faith and commitment to serve as I aspire to advocate for those whose voices often go unheard. I invite you to join me on this mission of healing, hope, and faith, as together we can shine a light in the darkest places and bring forth changes in the lives of many through Jesus Christ.
